I was delighted to sit down with KTVB to discuss our priorities for the upcoming session. We need to take a balanced approach and increase education investment while also delivering tax credits to working families. For example, we should increase Idaho’s child tax credit and make sure that families at every income level can access the full value, not just the top earners. And we must finally correct the property tax shift onto homeowners. It is not fair that residents pay more and more each year while many commercial properties pay less and less. GOP legislators have blocked our proposals to increase the homeowner’s exemption in the past, but we will continue to fight for you!
